6. Analyst: AMD Could Overtake Intel to Top the Server CPU Market Next Year

StarFive recently officially launched the server-grade RISC-V HPC CPU core design Dubhe-100. It is the first domestic server-grade RISC-V CPU IP to reach a deliverable state, has been adopted by customers and entered the server chip development stage, filling a gap in China's high-performance RISC-V computing IP.

In performance terms, Dubhe-100 targets the Arm Cortex-A78, with an integer IPC of SPECint2006 15/GHz. It uses a deep out-of-order execution architecture with a 15-stage pipeline, 6-wide issue and a 256-instruction out-of-order window. Tonight (August 27-28), a deep partial lunar eclipse will unfold. According to Space.com, it is the deepest partial lunar eclipse visible on Earth until December 31, 2028. At maximum eclipse, 96.2% of the moon will slip into Earth's umbra, with much of the lunar surface likely taking on a rusty red hue while a thin sliver remains bright.

The eclipse will be visible across large parts of North and South America, Europe and Africa.
