This is one of JBL's entry-level on-ear models, but the essentials are intact: JBL's own Pure Bass tuning, Bluetooth 5.3, and EQ adjustments through the JBL Headphones app. The headline feature is battery life — up to 57 hours per charge, and a 5-minute Type-C top-up buys 3 more hours, so commuters can get through the week on one charge.

The earcups fold flat to slide into a bag, and at 157g they stay comfortable over long sessions. Voice Aware on the mic lets you hear your own voice during calls, so you don't unconsciously start shouting. 30-ohm impedance and a 20-20000Hz range suit pop, podcasts and everyday listening.

It's a perennial top seller in on-ear headphones (No. 1 in Audio Monitors, No. 3 in Stereo Headphones), with 4.5 stars from 16,000+ reviews and 4K+ sold in the past month — hard to get wrong. At $39.98 it's around its usual low, a good moment for students or a spare pair for family.
