Amazon.ca currently has the AMBOR 17.3-inch anti-theft laptop backpack with USB charging for $39.99 CAD (list $66.99, saving 40%). Prime members get free shipping; non-Prime orders ship free over $35.

It fits a laptop up to 17.3 inches, measures 19.5 × 12.5 × 5.3 inches and holds 20 litres across 3 main compartments and 5 pockets — fine for commuting, travel or as a student backpack.

Anti-theft is the headline: the main compartment uses a combination lock with metal zippers (default code 000, which you can reset). The shoulder straps are ergonomically S-shaped and padded, the back panel is cushioned, and an adjustable chest buckle helps spread the load when it's heavy. On the side there's an external USB charging port and a headphone jack, wired through the bag — drop a power bank inside and charge your phone on the go (power bank not included).

The shell is tear-resistant nylon (Oxford fabric) and water-resistant, and the whole bag weighs 1 kg. It has 11,000+ reviews at 4.6 stars and ranks #10 in Laptop & Netbook Computer Backpacks.

At $40 you get a 17-inch backpack with a combo lock and a charging port — the essentials are all covered. If you want a roomy anti-theft commuter bag that doesn't cost much, it's worth a look.
