Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Sub — Dolby Atmos, 38% Off! $498 CAD

Amazon.ca has the Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 3.1.2ch home theatre soundbar (with wireless subwoofer) for $498 CAD (list $798 CAD, 38% off). Prime members ship free; non-Prime orders over $35 CAD ship free.

This is Sony's new mid-range soundbar. The 3.1.2 layout means three front-firing speakers (left, centre, right), plus two up-firing speakers on top that bounce sound off the ceiling for the "height" channel — that's what makes a plane rumble or rain feel like it's passing overhead. A separate wireless subwoofer with a 160mm driver handles the low end, noticeably fuller than the small drivers most bars rely on.

The dedicated centre channel keeps dialogue clear, so you don't have to crank the volume just to follow the lines. 90W max output; the 37.4-inch bar sits on a TV stand or mounts to the wall. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are both supported, so Atmos content on Netflix and Disney+ plays as intended.

Bluetooth streaming is onboard, and the BRAVIA Connect app lets you adjust volume and sound profiles from your phone. If you already own a BRAVIA TV, you can control the bar from the TV menu and use Voice Zoom 3 to lift dialogue even further.

4.4 stars, 167 ratings, ranked #39 in Home Audio Sound Bar Speakers. $798 down to $498 is a near-40% cut — Sony bars rarely drop this low, so it's a good window if you've been meaning to give your TV proper sound.
