VersionTECH. Wired Gaming Mouse — 4 DPI Levels, 7-Color LED! $13.98 CAD (46% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the VersionTECH. wired gaming mouse for $13.98 CAD (list $25.99, 46% off). Free shipping for Prime members; otherwise free on orders over $35.

A $14 mouse usually isn't worth writing about, but this one has piled up more than 16,000 reviews at 4.5 stars and sits at #4 in Mac Gaming Mice and #12 in PC Gaming Mice. That volume says it works for almost anyone: plug it in, and Windows, Mac and Linux all pick it up with no driver.

Four DPI steps switch with one button, from 800 up to 2400 — low for spreadsheets, high for games. Six buttons, a rubberized scroll wheel, an 82 g body and a matte, slightly soft-touch shell. The 7-colour breathing light cycles on its own, and you can turn it off by holding the forward/back buttons plus the DPI button.

Wired USB means no latency worries and nothing to charge. If your scroll wheel has started double-clicking, or the stock laptop mouse is too small to grip, $13.98 is a cheap stopgap that doesn't hurt to replace. Over 300 sold in the past month.
