This is a straightforward budget Windows machine — fine for browsing, schoolwork, video calls and streaming, not for gaming or heavy multitasking. It runs an Intel Celeron N4000 with 4GB of RAM, which handles a browser, Word and a video call comfortably but nothing much beyond that.

The 14-inch anti-glare screen stays readable under library or office lighting, and at just over 1.5 kg it disappears into a backpack. Ports are generous for the price: USB-C, two USB-A, HDMI, an SD card slot and a headphone jack, so you can hook up a monitor, a USB stick or a camera card without dongles. Battery life is rated up to about 14 hours, enough for light work through the day.

Two things to know. The 64GB eMMC storage is small — plan on an SD card or cloud storage for your files. And it ships in Windows 10 Home S Mode, which only runs Microsoft Store apps; you can switch out of S Mode for free if you need to install software from elsewhere.

If you want a first computer for a kid or a parent, or a backup machine for the house, this is a solid mainstream-brand option. If you need to run demanding software or keep a lot of tabs open, this config and price don't add up. The discount is modest too — only $20 off.
