BRITA Longlast Water Filter — One Filter Lasts 6 Months! $24.99 CAD (29% Off)

Amazon.ca has the BRITA Longlast replacement filter (1 count) for $24.99 CAD, down from $34.99 (29% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

The pitch here isn't "filters better" — it's "you change it less often." Standard 40-gallon filters get swapped every couple of months; one Longlast is rated for 120 gallons, which works out to roughly every six months for an average household. Brita also rates one filter as replacing 900 standard 16.9 oz bottles, so a bottled-water household will notice it in the recycling bin too.

On filtration, the certified figures are 99% of lead removed, plus chlorine taste and odor, cadmium, mercury, asbestos and benzene (WQA certified). No pre-soak or rinse — pop the top cap and drop it in.

Two things worth checking before you buy: it fits all BRITA pitchers except BRITA Stream and BRITA Infinity, and this is a single filter, not a multi-pack.

It sits at #26 in Pitcher Water Filters with 16,000+ ratings at 4.6 stars, so it's about as well-tested as this category gets. At $24.99 it runs a few dollars under the usual supermarket price — a fine time to restock if yours is due.
