The usual desktop and older-laptop problem: onboard Bluetooth is either missing or weak enough that headphones cut out two rooms away. This replaces it — plug and play, no drivers, Windows 11/10/8.1/7.

What separates it from a plain nano dongle is the 180° swivel antenna you can point where you sit; one reviewer reported stable audio through two concrete walls at about 30 feet. Headsets, speakers, keyboards, mice and controllers all connect, and BLE keeps power draw low enough to leave plugged in.

One annoyance: the manual sends you hunting for a driver and the version numbers are easy to mix up. On Windows 10/11 it usually installs itself — don't go looking first.

1,680 ratings at 4.5 stars, #3 in Amazon's Bluetooth adapters category, two-year warranty. Under fifteen dollars to fix a machine's weakest radio.
