HyperX Clutch Gladiate Wired Controller — Official Xbox License, Rear Buttons and Trigger Locks, $35.99 CAD (20% Off)

Amazon.ca has the HyperX Clutch Gladiate wired controller — officially licensed by Xbox, compatible with Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC — for $35.99 CAD against a $44.99 list price, 20% off. Free shipping for Prime members; orders over $35 ship free otherwise.

Wired earns its place: no charging, no batteries, no Bluetooth dropouts, just a direct connection and the cleanest possible response. It's the path of least resistance on PC too, since Xbox pads have the best native Windows support of any gamepad.

The dual trigger locks shorten the pull for faster fire in shooters, and the two rear buttons ship mapped to stick clicks, so reload, crouch, and melee stop costing you a thumb off the stick — arguably the most practical upgrade here. Dual rumble motors and textured grips round it out.

One thing worth knowing before you buy: the triggers arrive very sensitive, sensitive enough that resting a finger on one can fire it. Plenty of buyers fixed it by lowering trigger sensitivity in console settings. It's also lighter than a stock Xbox controller, which takes a few days to stop noticing.

4.3 stars across 1,968 reviews, ranked 94 in Video Games and 2nd in Xbox controllers. At $35.99 for an officially licensed pad, it costs less than half of a first-party controller.
