These are 5-micron melt-blown polypropylene cartridges that trap silt, sand, rust, and other undissolved particles before they reach your taps. If you have a standard 20-inch whole house housing (4.5" diameter x 20" height), they drop right in and fit most standard housings regardless of brand.

Each cartridge lasts 6-12 months or roughly 100,000 gallons, depending on your water quality and usage. The filter turns from white to yellow to brown as it loads up, so you can see when it's time to swap — no calendar needed. All four are individually sealed to keep them fresh until you install them.

A couple of honest notes: this is a sediment filter — it won't reduce TDS or chlorine; for that you'd pair it with a carbon block. It works with well water, though you'll likely replace it more often (every ~3 months). Flush the new cartridge for 15 minutes after installing.
