This isn't really a clock for telling time — it's a clock for the person who can't remember what day it is. Alongside the time, the screen shows the day of the week, the date, the month, and the indoor temperature, in characters large enough to read from across a living room without hunting for glasses. 7,000+ reviews at 4.4 stars, and a good share of buyers are setting these up for elderly parents.

Three independent alarms can be split into weekday, weekend, or everyday schedules — handy for medication and meal reminders without stacking a pile of phone alarms.

Brightness has five levels, dimmable far enough down that light-sensitive sleepers aren't bothered. Volume runs 15 steps (60–108 dB) and the alarm ramps up gradually instead of jolting you awake.

Two USB ports charge a phone, and time format plus daylight saving each get their own button — tap once for 12/24-hour, tap again for DST, no manual needed every March and November.

Two things to know up front: it must stay plugged in — the internal CR2032 only holds the time and settings through an outage, it won't run the clock. And the interface is English-only, no French option.
