Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD — 14,700MB/s Gen5 Flagship at Half Price! $489.99 CAD (47% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 SSD for $489.99 CAD (list $924.99, 47% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

This is Samsung's current Gen5 flagship. Sequential read is rated 14,700 MB/s and write 13,400 MB/s, with random read/write up to 2.2M / 2.6M IOPS — roughly twice the last-gen 990 PRO. The real-world jobs are concrete: 8K editing without timeline stutter, faster model loads for local AI work, and near-instant game loads with Microsoft DirectStorage.

It has built-in thermal control and power management, with up to 49% better power efficiency than the previous generation, so it stays reasonable in a laptop. It's backward compatible with PCIe 4.0 / 3.0 slots, but there it's capped to that generation's bandwidth — to hit the full 14,700 you need a motherboard with a dedicated PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot and a Gen5-capable CPU (check Intel or AMD's site). Samsung Magician handles firmware updates and health monitoring, and it carries a 5-year warranty.

At $489.99 CAD versus a $924.99 list, the 2TB is roughly half off — the biggest discount in this batch. 1,826 reviews, 4.6 stars, and it's ranked #1 in Internal Solid State Drives. If you're building a new PC, working with large media, or expanding a desktop, this is the price to move on.
