Fitbit Charge 3 SE Fitness Tracker — Seven-Day Battery, Swim-Proof! $163.32 CAD (10% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Fitbit Charge 3 SE (graphite case with black and white silicone bands, small and large both in the box) for $163.32 CAD (list $181.39, 10% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

Let's be straight about it: the Charge 3 is a 2018 model and this is only a 10% discount, so it isn't aimed at anyone chasing the latest thing. If what you want is a watch that counts steps, reads your heart rate and doesn't need charging every night, it covers the basics — 24/7 heart rate, 15+ exercise modes, automatic light/deep/REM sleep tracking, swim-proof to 50 metres for pool and shower, and seven days of battery.

The battery is the easy part to live with: one owner takes it off for an hour and a half every Sunday and wears it the rest of the week. There's a 0.96-inch OLED touchscreen with raise-to-wake, plus call and message notifications on the wrist, and it borrows your phone's GPS for pace and distance on outdoor runs and rides.

Two things worth knowing. Fitbit under Google has left plenty of owners unhappy about where the platform is heading, and reviews do include screens that started flickering around the 18-month mark and then died, with support pointing to a replacement purchase. Battery degradation is the gamble with any older tracker. The SE also bundles a spare band in both sizes — the small one sits better on thin wrists, and don't cinch it tight; owners find it reads just as accurately loose enough to slide a pinky under.

It ranks well in Sports & Outdoors with 1,800+ ratings at 4.1 stars. If you just want a basic tracker for around a hundred and sixty and don't care that it's an older model, the price is fair. If you want long-term reliability and support, spend more on a current model.
