Acer Gadget Golf Rangefinder, 1700 Yards — Anti-Shake, Flag Lock & Slope Switch! $139.31 CAD (40% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Acer Gadget Golf Rangefinder (model SW-1500E) for $139.31 CAD, down from $232.04 — 40% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

It measures from 3 to 1700 yards with ±0.5-yard accuracy and 6x magnification. You'll never need 1700 yards on a golf course, but that headroom is what keeps readings steady and quick in the 200-300 yard range you actually use.

The anti-shake tech is the part worth paying for: hand tremor and an unsteady stance are what make cheaper rangefinders jump between numbers. Pair that with flag lock and a vibration confirmation, and you get a short buzz when the pin is captured instead of a reading off the trees behind the green.

Slope compensation is a one-touch switch you can turn off for tournament play. The M button cycles six modes — slope, angle, speed, horizontal distance, vertical distance and continuous scan — so it doubles as a hunting or archery rangefinder. The body fits in one hand and has a magnet built in, so it sticks to a cart frame or club instead of living in your pocket.

Battery is a 750 mAh USB-C cell rated for 20,000 measurements per charge; a round is a few dozen reads, so charging is a once-a-season chore at most. The box includes the unit, a carry case, hand strap, USB-C cable, cleaning cloth and gift packaging.

Reviews are still thin (41 ratings, 4.5 stars) because this is a newer model rather than a long-established line. If you don't want to pay the premium the big three rangefinder brands charge but still want anti-shake and slope, this is a reasonable price point.
