The real convenience is power. Each camera runs on two AA lithium batteries rated for up to two years, so there's no wiring and no hunting for an outlet. If you rent, or you'd rather not drill and run cable through brick, installation is basically mounting the bracket and pairing over Wi-Fi in the app.

Video is 1080p Full HD with infrared night vision, so the yard is still visible after dark.
