Ring Wired Doorbell (2nd Gen) + Chime Bundle — 2K Video, No Battery Swaps! $139.99 CAD (12% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Ring Wired Doorbell (2nd Gen, Speckled Gray) bundled with the Chime (3rd Gen, White) at $139.99 CAD, down from $159.98 — 12% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

The wired version's main advantage is that you never think about batteries again. It draws power from your existing doorbell wiring and stays online around the clock, which also means no winter battery drain. This generation shoots Retinal 2K, sharper than 1080p doorbells, with up to 6x Enhanced Zoom for reading faces at a distance. You get real-time alerts on motion or a ring, and two-way talk so you can answer the door from anywhere.

The bundled Chime plugs into any wall outlet and pairs immediately, so the bell is audible inside the house instead of relying on your phone alone — handy with older family members around, or when you're in the backyard or the basement.

Two things worth checking before you buy: the install needs an existing doorbell transformer, so verify the voltage in older homes, and Ring's video recording and history require a Ring Home subscription. Without it you only get live view and notifications. This is the newest model with 22 reviews at 4.4 stars so far — not much feedback yet, but the hardware line is well established. If you want to stop swapping batteries, 12% off the bundle is reasonable.
