Closed-back headphones usually compromise on soundstage. The HD 620S is built to avoid that. Its 42 mm drivers are angled rather than firing straight into the ear canal, mimicking speaker placement so the stage spreads wider and vocals don't collapse into the middle of your forehead the way they do on many closed designs. Frequency response is rated 6 Hz to 30 kHz, with genuinely deep bass extension.

The transducers are German-engineered with ultra-light aluminum voice coils at 150 ohms. That impedance asks something of your source: a phone will drive them, but a portable amp or desktop DAC unlocks the layering and dynamics. In exchange you get excellent impulse response and very low distortion — the tuning is neutral and natural rather than colored.
