Garmin DriveSmart 66 6" GPS — 6" Touchscreen with Alexa Voice Assist and Live Traffic! $299.98 CAD (12% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Garmin DriveSmart 66 6" GPS for $299.98 CAD (regular $339.98, save 12%). Orders over $35 ship free.

The centrepiece is a 6-inch LCD running at 1024 x 600, so maps, menus and alerts all read cleanly. It's a touchscreen unit that mounts to your windshield, and at 15.2 x 8.6 x 1.9 cm and 0.18 kg it stays out of the way.

Map coverage spans the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and the Bahamas — one device for cross-border drives. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you update maps and firmware without tethering it to a computer, which is the main reason people replace older units.

Pair it over Bluetooth for hands-free calling, or connect to the Garmin Drive app for live traffic, weather, fuel prices and parking so you know what you're driving into before you leave. Voice control comes from Garmin voice assist plus Amazon Alexa — ask for directions, music or the news without touching the screen.

On the road it warns you about upcoming speed changes, sharp curves and other hazards. For stops along the way, the screen pulls in Tripadvisor ratings for restaurants, hotels and attractions, a directory of U.S. national parks, the HISTORY database of notable sites and Foursquare points of interest.

A dual USB charger is included, with a spare port for your phone or tablet.
