Breville Barista Express Impress Espresso Machine — Built-In Grinder, Pressure Gauge, Steam Wand! $899.99 CAD (22% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Breville Barista Express Impress Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Steam Wand (Blue) for $899.99 CAD (regular $1,149.99 CAD, 22% off). Orders over $35 CAD ship free.

The Barista Express is the hands-on tier of Breville's home lineup. The built-in grinder doses fresh from the hopper with adjustable grind size, which keeps more aroma than pre-ground, and it also accepts pre-ground coffee if that's what you keep on hand.

Semi-automatic means the machine handles extraction pressure and temperature while you handle dosing and tamping. A portafilter and tamper are included, and the pressure gauge on the front tells you immediately whether the shot is running in range. If you want to learn, the feedback is direct.

Milk comes from a manual steam wand — you control the angle and air intake, so cappuccino and latte texture is your call. There's a hot water outlet as well, for tea or an Americano.

The rest of the spec sheet: single/double shot selector, temperature control, removable water tank with filter, removable drip tray, auto shut-off and a pressure safety valve. The body is brushed stainless steel, 1750W, measuring 33 x 42 x 38cm at 11kg. Blue isn't a colourway Breville runs often.

Day-to-day care is knocking out the puck, rinsing removable parts and descaling periodically; the manual walks through the descale routine. The sale ends October 23.
