Dell 27 Plus QHD Monitor S2725DSM — 27-inch 1440p at 144Hz! $219.99 CAD (28% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Dell 27 Plus QHD Monitor (S2725DSM) for $219.99 CAD, down from a $304.99 list price — 28% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

27 inches at 2560×1440 is a sweet spot for a desk: noticeably sharper than 1080p without the scaling headaches of 4K. This one is an IPS panel running 144Hz with a rated 1ms MPRT response and AMD FreeSync support, so both consoles and GPUs stay smooth.

The 1500:1 contrast ratio is higher than the 1000:1 you usually get from IPS at this price, and 350 nits of brightness with 99% colour coverage covers office work, photo editing and streaming. The matte anti-glare finish keeps it from turning into a mirror next to a window, and the built-in dual 3W speakers save you a pair of desk speakers.

The stand is the underrated part: height, swivel, tilt and pivot all adjust. Plenty of cheap 1440p monitors ship with a fixed neck and force you to buy an arm later. Connectivity is one DisplayPort and one HDMI, which is exactly enough for a desktop plus a laptop.

It's TÜV 4-star certified for eye comfort, and the warranty is 1-year Advanced Exchange with Premium Panel Exchange — Dell ships a replacement instead of making you wait out a repair.

Rated 4.6 from 300+ reviews, ranked #3 in Computer Monitors, and 400+ sold in the past month. A solid step up if you're still on 1080p/60Hz.
