Geekpure 10" Clear Whole-House Filter Housing — See When the Filter Needs Changing! $59.98 CAD (25% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Geekpure 10-inch whole-house filter housing in clear (model BB-10S3/4) for $59.98 CAD (list $79.99, 25% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping over $35.

The clear body is the genuinely useful part: you can see how brown the cartridge has gone and decide whether to change it, instead of counting months in your head. Ports are 3/4" NPT plastic, and the set includes a pressure release button, plastic wrench, metal bracket and screws. It goes on the main line coming into the house as a whole-house pre-filter.

It takes any standard 4.5" diameter x 10" cartridge — sediment, carbon block, composites are all easy to find, and nothing locks you to one brand. Rated 5–15 GPM depending on your incoming pressure, with a 90 psi maximum. If your pressure can exceed 60 psi, a regulator before the housing is mandatory, not optional.

⚠️ To be clear: $59.98 buys the housing only — cartridges are sold separately.

248 reviews at 4.4 stars, solid for the price bracket. Installation assumes basic plumbing: Teflon tape, a pipe wrench, and the ability to cut and join pipe. Lubricate the O-ring with silicone grease before tightening the cap or it will seep. If you'd rather not, a plumber will bill about an hour.

If you want one stage of whole-house filtration without buying a several-hundred-dollar system, this is the cheapest way in.
