First Alert RD1 Radon Test Kit — Lab Fees Included! $32.60 CAD (28% Off)

Amazon.ca has the First Alert RD1 radon test kit for $32.60 CAD, down from $45 — 28% off. Prime members ship free; non-Prime orders over $35 CAD ship free.

Radon is an odorless, naturally occurring radioactive gas that can build up in basements, drains, and crawl spaces below ground, and long-term exposure raises the risk of lung cancer. The RD1 is the straightforward one-time approach: place the sampler in your home for two to four days, mail it to the lab, and get results by email within 72 hours of the lab receiving it.

The kit includes the test materials and lab fees (except New Jersey state fees), so there's nothing extra to pay, and the test is listed under the EPA Radon Gas Measurement Proficiency Program. If results come back high, the kit also provides recommended next steps.

One note: the product is listed as recommended for use only within the United States, with sampling and lab processing designed around a US address — Canadian buyers should keep that in mind.
