Two things ruin a tub mat: it slides underfoot, and it mildews because it never dries. This one measures 27.2 x 15.2 in (69 x 39 cm), fits a standard tub without covering the whole floor, and drains faster for it. Suction cups around the underside grip once you wet the tub, press it down and step on it a few times, and the drain holes keep water from pooling underneath.

The real difference is afterwards: a reinforced hook at one end lets you hang it on the showerhead to drip dry, so it isn't sitting wet in the tub — which is exactly where mildew starts. It's made of TPE, BPA- and PVC-free, soft underfoot without collapsing, and treated with Microban to resist mildew growth.

If there are kids or older adults in the house, or the tub is smooth enamel, this is closer to a necessity than a nice-to-have. Normally $40+, now $28.16.
