SwissGear Signature 27" Hardside — Expandable, TSA Lock, Built-In Cupholder! $163.35 CAD (22% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the SwissGear Signature 27-inch hardside checked suitcase at $163.35 CAD, down from a $209.99 list price — 22% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 CAD ship free.

27 inches is on the large side for checked luggage: 27 x 19 x 12.25 inches of packing space, 88 litres, enough for two people on a week-long trip. The split-case design expands, which matters on the way home when you've bought more than you planned.

The shell is an ABS and polycarbonate blend, a bit more forgiving than straight ABS. Four spinner wheels and a push-button steel telescopic handle make it easy to steer through an airport, and the TSA combination lock is built into the shell so there's nothing to lose.

The odd but genuinely useful feature is the built-in cupholder on the side — buy a coffee past security and you're not holding it in one hand while dragging a suitcase with the other.

Empty weight is 4.58 kg, mid-range for hardside. One thing to check before you book: overall dimensions are 30.75 x 20.5 x 12.25 inches, which adds up to 63.5 linear inches — slightly over the 62-inch (158 cm) limit most Canadian carriers use for checked bags. Worth confirming with your airline.

It's the #7 bestseller in Suitcases, but only 94 ratings at 4.0 stars, so treat the score as a small sample. The 10-year warranty against materials and workmanship is standard SwissGear policy.
