Amazon.ca has the JBL Live 770NC over-ear ANC headphones (black) for $129.98 CAD, down from $299.98 — 57% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

There isn't much worth owning in the $130 ANC bracket, so a $300 JBL at this price is the most straightforward deal of the batch.

The headline feature is True Adaptive Noise Cancelling: four noise-sensing mics that adjust cancellation depth to the surroundings rather than asking you to pick a level. Smart Ambient lets you hear what's going on without taking them off — platform announcements, a coffee order. The 40mm drivers support JBL Spatial Sound, which virtualizes stereo into surround for movies and games and noticeably widens the stage.

Battery is where it wins: up to 65 hours with ANC off, 50 with Bluetooth and ANC on. For a two-hour daily commute that's roughly a charge a week. A five-minute top-up gives four hours, a full charge takes two via USB-C. Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio support (pending an OTA update) and multipoint — a call on your phone will cut in while a tablet is playing video.

Calls run through two beamforming mics. JBL claims wind resistance outdoors; realistically it's fine in a quiet room and unremarkable in wind.

Small things that matter day to day: auto play/pause when you take them off, a fabric headband with soft cushions that stay comfortable for a few hours, and a carry pouch plus 3.5mm and USB-C cables — so you can keep using them wired when the battery dies. The app includes a Personi-Fi 2.0 hearing test that builds a custom EQ profile.

Trade-offs: no aptX, which matters if you're on Android and care about higher-bitrate codecs, and the headband doesn't fold, so it takes more room in a bag than collapsible designs. It's #4 in Cell Phone Bluetooth Headsets with 2,370 ratings at 4.5 stars and 1,000+ bought last month — the sales and reviews back it up.

$300 down to $130 isn't a normal price move. If you need a commute/work pair of noise-cancelling headphones, this is a reasonable place to stop looking.
