This is an add-on for anyone who already owns a KitchenAid stand mixer: you mix, knead, proof and bake all in the same vessel, with no switching containers and no separate loaf pan. The bowl is ceramic and oven-safe up to 500°F, and the included lid doubles as a proofing cover — good for everything from a basic white loaf to a chocolate rye boule.

The 5-quart capacity handles up to 3.5 cups of flour, baking roughly a 1 to 1.5 lb loaf — the right size, not so big the dough spreads flat. The ceramic resists chipping, cracking and crazing, and carries a 5-year no-chip limited warranty. It's freezer, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. In the box: bread bowl, baking lid and dough scraper.

One caveat: it only fits KitchenAid 4.5 and 5 Quart Tilt-Head mixers — Bowl-Lift models won't fit, so check your model before ordering.
