Sonos rarely discounts, so a bundle like this is a rare way to shave a little off a full Atmos setup — and more importantly, to get everything matched from the start. Note this is a bundle of four separate products, not a single boxed system: one Arc Ultra, one Sub 4 and two Era 300 speakers.

The Arc Ultra carries all 9.1.4 channels in the bar itself, with 14 drivers in a redesigned acoustic layout. When the source is Dolby Atmos-encoded, it delivers a 9.1.4 configuration with sound coming from the left, right and overhead. The Sub 4 adds the low end through dual force-cancelling woofers, so explosions and game rumble land with real weight. Each Era 300 packs six drivers firing left, right, forward and upward, which is what makes them convincing both as rear channels and as standalone speakers.

Setup runs over Wi-Fi through the Sonos app, and a home network is required. The Era 300 speakers also support Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2, and can be used on their own or paired with the Sub 4 for music in other rooms. Trueplay tuning adjusts the Sub 4 to your room's acoustics. The Sub 4 can be re-paired with an Arc or Beam if you change sound bars later, so the investment carries forward.

Placement is flexible: the Arc Ultra sits below or in front of the TV, while each Era 300 needs a mains outlet wherever you put it — including behind the seating area if you use them as rears.

If you want to build a serious movie-and-music room right the first time, this is the setup to build it around.
