White shirts and white tees go yellow-grey over time and regular detergent doesn't bring them back — that's the job for an oxygen bleach. It activates with water and air, and the enzymes bubble stains loose so collars, cuffs and sweat marks rinse out. OxiClean says it whitens 40% better than chlorine bleach, yet it's chlorine-free and colour-safe, so a mixed load is fine.

For set-in stains, dissolve a scoop in 3.8 L of water, soak 1-6 hours, then wash as usual. For general brightening, add a scoop to the wash. Barely any scent.

4.6 stars, 3,400 reviews, #2 in Amazon.ca's laundry stain removers with 4,000+ bags sold last month. A bag lasts a while — worth keeping one under the sink if you own anything white.
