With a French press, most people care about two things once the novelty wears off: how much sediment ends up in the cup, and how fast it goes cold. The Frieling's body is double-walled 18/10 stainless, which loses heat far more slowly than glass — the brand says it stays hot up to four times longer, so the last cup is still warm where a glass press would already be lukewarm.

The clean pour comes from a two-stage filter: a pre-filter plus a super-fine Italian mesh, with a metal wire inside the coil that presses the seal firmly against the wall so fine grounds don't slip through. The spout is shaped to avoid drips.
