Worth Buying: Apple AirPods Pro 3 — Double the Noise Cancelling + Heart Rate Sensing!

Amazon.ca currently has the Apple AirPods Pro 3 for $313.98 CAD (list $329.00, 5% off). Prime members get free shipping; non-Prime orders ship free over $35.

AirPods Pro rarely get big discounts — Apple's flagship earbuds almost never do — so saving a dozen-odd dollars is uncommon. This isn't about the bargain; it's an entry point for someone already waiting on new earbuds who's on iPhone.

The headline upgrade this generation is noise cancellation — Apple says it removes up to 2x more noise than AirPods Pro 2. Combined with a new acoustic architecture, that means fuller bass, clearer vocals, and a more immersive spatial-audio presentation.

Among the new features, heart rate sensing is a first for AirPods: wear them to work out and they track heart rate and calories burned across up to 50 workout types, syncing to the Move ring on iPhone and working with Apple Intelligence's Workout Buddy. The other is Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence, for crossing language barriers on the fly.

Battery runs up to 8 hours per charge with ANC on. This time there are five ear-tip sizes, so fit and seal improve over the previous gen and they stay put longer. Active Hearing Protection caps excessive volume in loud environments to look after your ears.

Ecosystem integration remains the big advantage: automatic switching, Audio Sharing between two sets of AirPods, and seamless handoff across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV — most obvious if you're on an iPhone.

If you've been after earbuds with strong ANC that play nicely with Apple gear, $313.98 is on the lower end for this generation. Android users or anyone mainly chasing a deal won't find this the best fit.
