Dyson V15 Detect Plus Cordless Vacuum — Laser Spots the Dust You Can't See, Suction Adapts on Its Own ($999.99 CAD)

Amazon.ca currently has the Dyson V15 Detect Plus cordless vacuum at $999.99 CAD — the same as its list price. This is the worth-it-without-a-discount category: it rarely goes on sale, and it's still one of the better cordless setups you can buy. Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 CAD ship free.

The Fluffy Optic head has a laser in it. Push it across the floor and the fine dust you can't see lights up — the first pass in most homes is genuinely unsettling. The Digital Motorbar head handles carpet and hard floors and de-tangles hair as it goes, which matters more than an extra few hundred pascals if there's long hair in the house or a shedding pet.

Suction adapts on its own to how dirty the floor is and what it's made of, and the screen shows the particles it just picked up, so "is it clean yet" stops being a guess. Whole-machine filtration catches 99.99% of dust down to 0.3 microns, so emptying the bin doesn't puff a cloud back into the room.

It weighs 2.74 kg and runs up to 60 minutes — realistically less in Boost mode, but Auto gets through an apartment on one charge. Pop the wand off and it's a handheld for the car, the stairs and sofa cushions.

In the box: Digital Motorbar head, Fluffy Optic head, crevice tool, soft dusting brush, hair screw tool and wand clip. Nothing else to add.

One honest note: $999.99 is the regular price, there's no discount right now. If you were waiting for a drop, Black Friday is the likely window. But if you've been fighting invisible dust and hair wrapped around a brush bar, this is the combination that actually solves both.
