Anker soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker — IPX7 Waterproof, 24H Playtime, 146K Ratings! $44.99 CAD (36% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the Anker soundcore 2 portable Bluetooth speaker for $44.99 CAD (list price $69.99 CAD, 36% off). Prime members ship free; non-Prime orders ship free over $35 CAD.

The soundcore 2 is one of Anker's long-running entry-level Bluetooth speakers, with more than 146,000 ratings on Amazon — that number alone says a lot. It puts out 12W through dual neodymium drivers, and Anker's BassUp processing plus a patented spiral bass port give it more low end than its size suggests, with a DSP keeping distortion in check at high volume.

It's IPX7 waterproof, so a dunk in the pool or a rain shower is no problem — bathroom, backyard, camping, beach all fine. The 5,200mAh battery is rated for 24 hours, enough to get through a full day out. Wireless range is about 20 m, and it works with phones, tablets and laptops.

It's small enough to carry one-handed, with simple controls. The trade-offs are clear: no microphone, so no speakerphone calls, and the sound is "good for the money" rather than audiophile-grade. But as a grab-and-go speaker you don't mind getting wet or scratched, $44.99 is hard to argue with.
