Miele G 7216 SCU Built-In Dishwasher — 58-Minute QuickIntenseWash, AutoOpen Drying & 42 dB! $2,789.10 CAD (10% Off)

Best Buy currently has the Miele G 7216 SCU built-in dishwasher in Clean Touch Steel with a cutlery tray for $2,789.10 CAD (regular $3,099, 10% off). Free shipping on orders over $35.

The centerpiece is QuickIntenseWash: a full wash for normally soiled dishes in 58 minutes, considerably shorter than most standard cycles. Drying uses Miele AutoOpen — the door opens automatically at the end of the cycle to let moisture escape, so dishes and the interior come out dry without extra heated drying.

Noise output is just 42 dB(A), quiet enough to run after dinner in an open-plan kitchen. The Normal program uses as little as 1.7 US gallons (about 6.4 L) of water, in line with Miele's fresh-water dishwasher design. The ExtraComfort basket system is laid out for everyday loads, including deep bowls and large plates.

On hygiene, Miele says the dishwasher removes more than 99.9% of viruses, backed by scientific testing. ComfortClose gives the door a smooth, controlled action instead of snapping shut. The appliance supports Miele@home networking for status and program control from the app, and RemoteUpdate for new software features.

Note that this is a built-in unit — check your cabinet cutout, power and plumbing before ordering. Depth required with the door open 90 degrees is 47.5 inches. Currently rated 4.3 from 3 reviews; a sensible choice for a renovation or a long-term replacement.
