Worth Buying: Roku Streaming Stick Plus 2025 — 4K, HDR & 200+ Free Channels with Voice Remote

Amazon.ca has the Roku Streaming Stick Plus (2025) for $89.98 CAD. Prime members get free shipping; non-Prime orders ship free over $35 CAD.

It solves the problem of a smart-TV-less television: plug it into any HDMI port and you turn a 4K TV into a streaming machine, with 4K and HDR for a crisper picture and richer colour. The slim body won't block neighbouring HDMI ports, and it can draw power straight from your TV's USB port — no wall outlet, no extra cords, and it stays hidden behind the TV. Setup is quick: power it up, connect to the internet, and you're in.

The voice remote handles power, volume and Roku control, and voice search is fast. All the top apps — Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, YouTube, Crave, CBC Gem and more — live on one home screen, so no more hopping between inputs. There are also 200+ free live channels covering news, weather and sports.

Roku is Canada's #1 TV streaming platform by hours streamed. It doesn't go on sale often, but the appeal is simplicity — if you want to add a smart box to a bedroom or an older TV, this is about as straightforward as it gets.
