TERRAMASTER D1 NVMe SSD Enclosure — IP67 Waterproof & Crush-Proof, One-Tap Phone Backup! $44.09 CAD (25% Off)

Amazon.ca has the TERRAMASTER D1 M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure for $44.09 CAD (list $58.79, 25% off). Prime members get free shipping; non-Prime orders over $35 CAD ship free.

This is an external enclosure for an M.2 NVMe drive — install a stick and it works as a portable SSD. The all-aluminium body is rated IP67 waterproof and dustproof, and certified to withstand 1.2 tons of crushing force plus 1.5m drops, so water, dust and pressure are less likely to put your data at risk. Useful for shoots, job sites or anyone using a drive outdoors.

Cooling is the usual weak point on these enclosures; this one relies on 34 aluminium fins for passive cooling plus a pre-installed thermal pad, which the brand says prevents throttling under load. It runs over USB 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, with real-world speeds quoted up to 1020MB/s, and supports UASP and TRIM.

The bundle is complete: a protective carry case, a 50cm USB-C cable (longer than the usual 10-30cm), the thermal pad and a screwdriver are all included — you can assemble it straight out of the box. It fits M.2 2280 drives (M-Key / B+M Key) up to 8TB, and is plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS with no drivers.

There's also a TDAS app that backs up photos, videos and contacts from your phone to the drive in one tap — no cloud storage fees. One caveat: reviews are still thin (17 ratings, 4.4 stars), so it's a fairly new model — worth waiting if review count matters to you.
