This is GoPro's official lens accessory for the HERO13 Black. Once mounted, it widens the field of view to 177° — the company says that's 36% wider and 48% taller than the standard lens — so on POV shots like skiing, cycling or motorcycles you can frame the bars, the sky and the trail ahead in one take instead of switching lenses.

Stabilization levels up too: with the camera body it takes HyperSmooth to its highest tier while staying steady at up to 4K60. It also supports the new 1:1 square aspect ratio, so you can crop to 16:9 widescreen or 9:16 vertical later. The camera detects the lens automatically and adjusts settings — no manual setup.

The lens is scratch-resistant, and once installed the camera is fully waterproof, so it holds up in snow, at the beach or in the rain.

One caveat: this only works with the HERO13 Black. If you shoot on a HERO13 and want a wider, steadier POV, $115.63 against the $152 list price is a reasonable window to add it.
