Most LEGO Minecraft sets are display pieces once they're built. This 284-piece dungeon isn't. It has two working mechanisms: a rotating chamber that spawns zombies when you turn it, and a sliding piece that triggers a rockfall on whatever is underneath. Kids keep coming back to it instead of parking it on a shelf.

Five figures come in the box — a Wastelands Wanderer in netherite armour with a diamond pickaxe and mace, a slime, and three zombies (one with enchanted leggings and a gold sword, one with a diamond helmet). The accessories are the ones kids actually use in play: a crafting table, a torch, and a chest holding bread, bone and rotten flesh.

It's aimed at ages 8 and up. 4.8 stars from 652 ratings, over a thousand sold in the past month, ranked 69 in Toys & Games and 19 in Toy Building Sets. The two things parents mention most: it goes together in a few hours, and the trap mechanism is what gets played with afterwards. Finished model stands 21 cm tall and 12 cm wide — fits on a desk or nightstand.

LEGO Minecraft sets usually sit at 15-20% off. 30% is on the deeper end, and $27.97 is about as low as this one gets.
