JBL Live 770NC Noise-Cancelling Headphones — 50 Hours With ANC On! $129.98 CAD (57% Off)

Amazon.ca has the JBL Live 770NC over-ear headphones (black) for $129.98 CAD (list $299.98, 57% off). Free shipping for Prime members; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

This is the better-equipped end of JBL's mid-range: 40mm drivers, spatial audio, Bluetooth 5.3 with a slot for LE Audio via a later OTA update. What separates it is True Adaptive ANC — four mics adjust the depth to your surroundings, so the noise floor shifts on a subway versus an open office. Smart Ambient lets you hear people without taking the headphones off.

Battery is the headline: 65 hours with ANC off, 50 with it on, a two-hour full charge, and five minutes plugged in buys four more hours. A week of commuting without charging is normal. Multipoint pairs two devices, so a call cuts in over a tablet video. Take them off and playback pauses; put them back on and it resumes.

At 445 g they aren't light for the price, but the fabric headband and soft cushions spread the load — two or three hours without a clamp feeling. Calls run through two beamforming mics that hold up outdoors in wind.

The JBL Headphones app handles ANC levels and button behaviour, and Personi-Fi 2.0 builds a personal EQ from a short hearing test. In the box: carrying pouch, detachable audio cable, USB-C cable. There's a 3.5mm jack too, which matters on planes.

2,300+ ratings at 4.5 stars and #2 in Bluetooth headsets. At $129.98 this is clearance territory against a $299.98 list. The cheaper Tune line gives up a step in both ANC and battery; if you want over-ear ANC without paying Sony or Bose money, this is the sensible middle. There's also a coupon on the listing worth ticking before checkout.
