MORENTO HY4866 Air Purifier — Dual Air Intakes + Live PM2.5 Readout, Half Price at $119.99 CAD (50% Off)

On Amazon.ca right now: the MORENTO HY4866 air purifier, rated for rooms up to 1076 sq ft, at $119.99 CAD (list $239.99, 50% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise free shipping on orders over $35.

The layout is what sets it apart at this price: two intake grilles, one on each side, pulling simultaneously, for a CADR of 300 m³/h. Dual intakes mean two filters inside the same footprint — more airflow, faster air exchange. In practice it actually moves air even in auto mode, which is more than you can say for a lot of units that only feel effective at max speed.

The filters use real activated carbon rather than the thin mesh layer plenty of brands get away with. That matters for smoke and pet odours, where the amount of carbon decides how long it keeps working. An infrared PM2.5 sensor feeds a live number to the front display; in auto mode the screen shifts to yellow or red as air quality drops and the fan ramps up. If something's burning in the kitchen, you can watch the reading climb.

Sleep mode runs below 24dB with all indicator lights off — inaudible next to the bed. Four fan speeds plus 2/5/8-hour timers, all on physical buttons; no app, no Wi-Fi setup. Replace the filter every 4 to 6 months: the original is B0C3GWNR29, the enhanced version B0BMDYDXFK — search either ASIN on Amazon.

One honest note: 1076 sq ft is the ceiling figure. Users consistently find it shines in a single bedroom, office or den, and gets overwhelmed in a big open-concept living area. Size it for one room and you'll be happy.

3,400+ reviews at 4.4 stars puts it in solidly reliable territory for purifiers. Comparable dual-intake units usually sit above $160, so $119.99 is a genuinely low point this year — reasonable insurance ahead of wildfire and flu season.
