Hoover CleanSlate Plus Portable Carpet & Upholstery Spot Cleaner — Pet Messes, Wine Stains, Car Seats! $119.99 CAD (40% Off)

Amazon.ca currently has the Hoover CleanSlate Plus portable carpet, upholstery and auto spot cleaner for $119.99 CAD (list price $199.99, 40% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

What it actually does: spray solution, scrub, then pull the dirty water back into the recovery tank with suction. Mud tracked in from the yard, spilled wine, cat sick, muddy paw prints, that dried coffee stain on the car seat — all of it falls inside its range. The dual-tank design keeps 40 oz of clean solution separate from the dirty water, so you're not smearing grime back into the fabric.

The tool kit is genuinely complete: a 7-inch WidePath tool for stairs and open carpet, a TightSpot tool for sofa seams and baseboards, and a Hose Rinse attachment that flushes the machine with water so it doesn't sit there smelling. The 18 ft cord is 3 ft longer than most rivals, enough to reach from a hallway outlet into the car. A 6 oz bottle of Oxy concentrate is included.

4.1 stars across more than 11,000 reviews. The rating isn't perfect because these portable units share one weak point: the water pump. One reviewer had theirs fail after two years and only five uses. The two-year warranty covers that path. Most of the feedback centres on suction, and the before-and-after photos of upholstered dining chairs are convincing.

If your home is carpet plus fabric sofa plus pets or kids, this beats paying for a professional carpet cleaning (usually $150 and up per visit). At $119.99 it's in its historical low range and unlikely to drop before Black Friday.
