Ethernet is still the right answer for a desktop, but when the case sits two walls away from the router, running cable usually isn't happening. That's the case this card solves: a PCIe slot, an Intel AX210 chipset, tri-band AXE5400 — 2402 Mbps on both 6 GHz and 5 GHz, 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 160 MHz channels supported.

One caveat: the 6 GHz band requires Windows 11. On Windows 10 you're limited to 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. Your router also needs 6E for any of it to matter. Bluetooth 5.3 is included (early packaging may say 5.2 — a firmware update from TP-Link unlocks 5.3), and it needs its own cable to a USB header on the motherboard. Most "Bluetooth doesn't work" reviews come down to that cable not being seated, or no Bluetooth driver installed.

Both standard and low-profile brackets are in the box, so small cases are fine. The two high-gain antennas sit on magnetized bases — stick them to the side of the case and aim them where you need. WPA3, OFDMA and MU-MIMO are supported, which keeps latency steadier on busy networks.

The most common story in the reviews: a room that couldn't hold a 5 GHz connection now sits at a steady 100-300 Mbps. If your board is still on Wi-Fi 5, or an old card makes your ping jump the moment you game, $40 is the cheapest upgrade available — as long as you have a free PCIe x1 slot. Check the case before ordering.
