Wired is still the fastest way to connect a desktop, but not everyone can run cable through a wall. This card drops into an open PCIe slot and gives the machine WiFi 6E and Bluetooth: 2402Mbps on 6GHz, 2402Mbps on 5GHz and 574Mbps on 2.4GHz, running Intel's AX210 chipset. Latency is noticeably lower than any USB adapter, which matters for gaming and VR streaming. The two high-gain antennas sit on a magnetized base, so you can stick them on the side of the case or a desk leg and hunt for the best signal.

Two conditions worth stating up front: the 6GHz band requires Windows 11 — on Windows 10 you only get 2.4 and 5GHz — and your board needs a free PCIe slot (usually an x1 next to the x16 your GPU occupies). Bluetooth is listed as 5.3, but early packaging still says 5.2; a firmware update from TP-Link's site unlocks it.

The box includes both standard and low-profile brackets, the Bluetooth header cable and the antennas, so small-form-factor builds are covered. WPA3, OFDMA and MU-MIMO are all supported, and TP-Link backs it with a two-year warranty plus 24/7 support.

It's ranked #2 in Amazon's Computer Networking Cards category with 4.4 stars across a thousand-plus reviews. Forty dollars to retire the USB dongle hanging off the back of your case is one of the better upgrades a desktop can get.
