Sony WI-C100 Wireless Neckband Headphones — 25-Hour Battery, Made for the Commute! $28.00 CAD (42% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Sony WI-C100 wireless neckband earphones for $28.00 CAD (list price $48.00, 42% off). Prime members ship free; otherwise orders over $35 ship free.

The neckband design means no battery pods crammed into your ears: 9 mm dynamic drivers hang around your neck, and you can pop the buds out whenever someone talks to you. Nothing to lose on a run, a bike ride, or a packed subway car.

Battery is rated at 25 hours, which for most commuters means charging once a week. IPX4 handles sweat and drizzle, Bluetooth 5.0 holds a stable link to about 10 metres, and the built-in mic keeps calls hands-free.

Don't expect miracles at this price, but Sony's DSEE upscales the high frequencies lost in compression, so vocals come through cleaner than the no-name alternatives. There's also the Sony | Headphones Connect app if you want to tweak the EQ.

15,000+ ratings at 4.0 stars, 500+ bought last month. Two honest caveats: the neckband cable can rub against a collar and transmit a faint noise in quiet rooms, and these are in-ears without noise cancelling — blocking out the subway costs more.
