The MAX2 works differently from a conventional action camera. Instead of committing to a framing before you hit record, it captures the entire sphere at once: 8K 360 video at 30/25/24fps with every direction in frame, and you choose what the viewer looks at afterwards. On a ski run you don't have to pick between the person and the slope; on a bike you don't lose the scenery behind you. Shoot everything, decide later.

Slow motion is where it stands out. 5.6K60 gives you a 2x slowdown that stays high resolution, while 4K100 spherical footage stretches action to 3x for a frame-by-frame look at jumps, splashdowns and flips. 8K capture records more than a billion colours for smoother gradations, and GP-Log preserves extra highlight and shadow detail for grading — a matching LUT is included.
