HP X500 Wired USB Mouse — Plug In and Go, No Batteries, Ambidextrous! $15.99 CAD (38% Off)

Amazon.ca has the HP X500 wired mouse for $15.99 CAD (list $25.99, 38% off). Free shipping for Prime members, otherwise free on orders over $35.

Plug in the USB cable and it works — no drivers, no pairing, no batteries to remember. The shape is symmetric with an elongated arch, so left- and right-handed users get the same fit, and the optical sensor tracks fine on a desk, a pad, or a sheet of paper. Three buttons and a scroll wheel, nothing to configure.

4.5 stars over 3,700+ reviews. The one caveat is size: it's on the small side, and reviewers with bigger hands mention their palm feeling unsupported. As a laptop bag mouse, a spare, or something for the kids, it's exactly right. At $15.99 it's an easy add-on.
