To be clear: this is the charger, not a battery. Easy to grab the wrong listing when you search DEWALT fast charger — the model to look for is DCB118.

The point of it is the internal fan, which pulls air across the pack while charging. Lithium packs throttle themselves once they get hot, which is exactly what happens when you are swapping packs back to back on a job site or after the battery sat in a hot truck — a normal charger just gets slower and slower. The fan exists to cut that dead time.

It puts out 8 amps (4 amps on compact packs) and takes a DCB606 FLEXVOLT from empty to full in about 60 minutes. It works with the whole 20V MAX and 60V MAX FLEXVOLT range, so if you already own a few packs this speeds up your rotation by a full step.

4,638 reviews at 4.7 stars, ranked #16 in Cordless Tool Chargers — not many accessories build that kind of review count, which says people buy it and keep using it. Three-year limited warranty.

Nearly $60 off is a rare low for anyone already inside the DEWALT battery ecosystem.
