If you have pets and mostly carpet, the problem is not the hair you can see — it is the fine hair and grit worked down into the fibres. This model uses 13 cyclones plus WindTunnel 3 technology to spin debris out of the airflow, so suction holds up better as the bin fills. The HEPA filter has an odour-trapping layer, so pet smell and dust do not get blown back into the room.

The QuickPass brush roll is the headline change this generation: one pass covers what used to take two, so the living room carpet goes faster. The cord is 30 feet, enough for a whole floor without hunting for outlets, and the 72-inch hose plus telescoping wand and crevice tool reach under sofas, along stair edges and into the car. A pet turbo tool is included for upholstery and mattresses. The 1.42 L bin empties from the bottom with one button — no reaching in.

Bagless saves you consumables, at the cost of cleaning the filter now and then. It weighs 3.31 kg, draws 1200W, and is rated at 80 dB — noise is its clearest weakness. Running it while on a phone call is not realistic.

The rating is 4.1 across 7,157 reviews, which is honest rather than glowing. The complaints cluster on weight and noise. But that review volume is real long-term feedback, not a padded score. Comparable Dyson uprights cost more than double, so at $322 with 28% off, value is where this one wins.

If your home is carpet-heavy, has pets, and you can live with the noise, this is a machine that just gets the work done.
