Ring Wired Doorbell 2K — Half Price for a Doorbell You Can Talk To! $59.99 CAD (45% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Ring Wired Doorbell 2K (newest model, Speckled Gray) for $59.99 CAD, down from $109.99 — 45% off. Prime members ship free; otherwise free over $35.

The headline this generation is "Retinal 2K" — a wide-angle image you can zoom up to 6x in the app, enough to make out a package on the step or a plate down the street. Two-way talk and live view are standard, and motion pushes a notification to your phone. It runs off your existing doorbell transformer, so there's no battery to swap or recharge — the best part of going wired.

Two things to know first. Recorded history and the AI alerts that distinguish "person" from "package" require a Ring Protect subscription, an ongoing cost on top of the hardware — without it you get live view and notifications only. Second, this generation is physically larger than the first; one buyer pulled the old unit and found it wouldn't fit the existing spot and had to return it. Measure your current doorbell and the wall space before ordering.

Installation is straightforward — two wires, mount the base, pair in the app. One reviewer was done inside half an hour. It works with Alexa, so an Echo Show can pull up the feed and an Echo Dot can announce visitors.

It sits at 4.0 stars across 240+ reviews and moved over 3,000 units last month. Complaints cluster in two places: intermittent offline states where live view won't load (one buyer spent four hours with support and returned it), and that size issue.

$59.99 is about as low as 2K wired doorbells go, and wired means no recharging. If your door already has bell wiring, this is a lot of doorbell for the money. If you're renting or there's no wiring at the door, skip the wired version and look at battery models.
