Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook — 11" 2K Touchscreen 2-in-1! $399.99 CAD (17% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook (82T6002YCF) for $399.99 CAD (list $479.36, 17% off). Prime members ship free; non-Prime orders over $35 ship free.

This is a Chrome OS 2-in-1 with a detachable keyboard: an 11" 2K touchscreen (2000×1200), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 chip, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Detach the keyboard and it's a tablet; snap it back and it's a laptop. It's light and dressed in a dual-tone grey.

The Chromebook pitch is straightforward — browsing, video, documents, online classes. The Snapdragon 7c is fanless, so it stays quiet and doesn't get hot, and the 12-hour battery covers a full day of commuting or classes. There are two full-function USB-C ports (data, video and charging), plus Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi. Cameras are 5MP front and 8MP rear for video calls, and the screen peaks at 600 nits so it's readable in a bright room.

One caveat: it holds only 3.8 stars across 99 reviews on Amazon.ca, which isn't high. Reading through them, people like the screen and the portability; the complaints mostly come back to the 4GB of RAM — several browser tabs plus another app and it starts to feel tight — and Chrome OS leaning on the internet, which limits what you can do offline. So it makes sense as a second device: for a student, for a kid at school, or as a living-room tablet for streaming. If you need a main workhorse, this isn't it.

At $399.99 you're saving $79 off list, a normal range for an entry-level 2-in-1.
