Dell SE2426HG 24" 240Hz IPS Gaming Monitor — 0.5 ms and FreeSync Premium for $124.99 CAD (19% Off)

Amazon.ca has the Dell SE2426HG 23.8" 240Hz gaming monitor for $124.99 CAD, down from $154.99 — 19% off. Prime members get free shipping; otherwise orders over $35 CAD ship free.

240Hz is the headline. At 1080p you can actually feed it 240 frames, and in competitive shooters turns and sprays become continuous motion instead of a series of jumps. Coming from 60Hz, most people notice it the first evening — not just "smoother", but the lag between moving the mouse and seeing the result is gone.

The panel is Fast IPS rated at 0.5 ms, quicker than the VA panels usually sitting at this price, with 99% sRGB coverage. IPS viewing angles mean colours don't wash out when you sit off-axis or watch from the sofa. FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR are supported, so tearing gets handled on an AMD card or a PS5/Xbox.

It also carries TÜV Rheinland 3-star eye comfort certification, which cuts blue light without pushing the picture yellow — useful if you play with the lights off.

Connectivity is two HDMI plus DisplayPort 1.4, so a PC and a console can stay plugged in at once and you switch inputs from the menu instead of crawling under the desk. At 23.8" with 1080p, pixel density matches a standard 24" office screen, so text stays crisp.

Two caveats: the stand is tilt-only, no height or pivot adjustment, so you'll need to raise it yourself if your desk sits high. And 240Hz needs DisplayPort — check the HDMI version if that's your route. There's also a clippable coupon on the page; tick it before checkout and the final price drops a bit further.

4.6 stars across 274 reviews, ranked 5th in Computer Monitors, 500+ bought last month. A 240Hz IPS panel at $124.99 is genuinely good for an entry gaming monitor — plenty of rivals at this price are still 165Hz VA.
